How Much Does a Shed Cost in Indiana?

A Buyer's Guide

If you're shopping for a storage building in Indiana, Kentucky, or Ohio, prices vary more than you'd expect - a basic utility shed and a lofted garage aren't priced on the same scale, and neither is priced like a big-box kit. Here's what actually drives the cost.

Size is the biggest factor

A small utility shed starts in the low $2,000s. Step up to a lofted garden shed or barn and you're typically in the $3,500-$6,000 range. Lofted garages and deluxe cabins - bigger footprints, more finish work - commonly run $6,000-$10,000+. Exact pricing depends on width, length, and the options you add.

Siding and roofing change the price too

We build with painted (LP SmartSide), metal, vinyl, treated, and urethane siding options, each with different upfront cost and different warranty coverage - painted siding carries a 50-year warranty against fungal decay and termites, metal siding is maintenance-free with a 20-year warranty, and every pressure-treated component (runners, floor joists, siding, trim) carries a lifetime warranty against rot, decay, and termites.

You don't have to pay it all upfront

Our rent-to-own program has no credit check - just a small deposit to start - with a month-to-month agreement you can walk away from anytime. Pay it off early and there's no penalty; you get a discount for doing it.
